The role of a manager isn’t just to oversee and supervise, making sure things get done on time and according to plan. Truly great managers also instruct, advise, support and inspire. They help make their direct reports the best they can be. Similar to an athletic coach, managers should help employees expand upon their strengths, as well as identify and conquer their weaknesses. And rather than being a hand-holder for their employees, managers should help them develop the skills they need to handle challenges on their own. This course deals with the coaching aspect of management, which is both the most important and most difficult to master. Taught by expert renowned coach Cory Caprista, it’s perfect for both aspiring and experienced managers and professional coaches.

  • Access 18 lectures & 2.5 hours of content 24/7

  • Help people break negative patterns & spark real change
  • Figure out how to adjust your style for different personality types
  • Coach constructively rather than just give advice
  • Problem solve issues without getting overwhelmed

Cory fell in love with business because it combined the team focus and clear goals of sports with the complexity of human psychology. He spent ten years developing his skills and at-scale problem solving in Sales and Product at Google, YouTube, and Twitter.

Cory knew there was something more for him. On a South American vision quest, it became clear his mission was to develop effective, conscious leaders across the globe. Now he does just that. He works internationally with many of the biggest and fastest growing technology companies (including Google, Dropbox, Lyft, and Airbnb) to increase productivity, efficiency, and employee engagement. Cory works one-on- one with top performers and executives as well as with teams designing and leading trainings. He is obsessed with bringing more meaning, joy, and laughter to our work—an area of our lives we give so much time and energy to.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a focus in Marketing and Technology from Santa Clara University. Cory is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and the Institute of Professional Coaching Association (ICPA). He is a trained Somatica® Method Practitioner, a relational, and experiential body-based therapy focused on relationships and intimacy.

Cory is a practitioner of Vipassana meditation, a shameless Crossfitter, and a volunteer counselor in the Wilderness and Outdoor Leadership Program (WOLP) at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times—a summer camp oasis for kids with cancer and their families.
